Movin’ to the Music, by Rick Tang. This image was created on a recent trip of Rick’s to Colima, Mexico. Rick volunteers for a program called Project Amigo. His friends, Ted Rose and Susan Hill, started Project Amigo about twenty years ago. Through their dedication, inspiration, and unbelievably hard work, Project Amigo is a hugely successful non-profit effort to raise the standards and improve the lives of the rural poor people in the state of Colima, Mexico. They
do so by focusing their efforts on the school-age children. This image captures Colima children participating in a Ballet Folklorico, celebrating their day of independence on September 16th of each year.
Movin’ to the Music was shot with a Canon 30D, handheld using available light. ISO 800, 85mm, 1/4 second exposure at f5.6. Created at exactly 9:29 p.m. central standard time.
